Ruth Allington retired from GWP Consultants LLP on 31st August 2019, 38 years after joining the firm (then the Geoffrey Walton Practice) on 1st September 1981, immediately following completion of her MSc in Engineering Geology at Durham University.

She will be leading a more flexible life based on fewer working days and more time to focus on her interests, passions and family. She will be available to GWP in a consultancy capacity, and intends to continue to be an active volunteer in the UK and international professional geoscience and mining communities, as well as developing further her skills and experience in mediation, facilitation, coaching, teaching and training.

We wish her the very best in her new ventures.
