Experience in facilitating effective community/stakeholder dialogue in connection with construction and mining projects. In particular, explaining technical details of projects in ways accessible to the public and non-technical professionals involved in construction and mining projects, and communicating community concerns and suggestions to technical specialists in ways accessible to them and where appropriate translating local concerns to technical solutions.
Due Diligence:
GWP is able to respond quickly and effectively in providing resource and reserve evaluations as background to mineral property acquisitions as well as advice on operating and environmental risks and uncertainties.
We have experience providing due diligence support for major public companies as well as smaller private organisations in a range of minerals including cement raw materials, aggregates and building stones.
GWP has provided geotechnical, geological and mine planning expertise for a number of large feasibility studies. Examples are:
- open pit mining of coal and lignite in Venezuela and Northern Ireland;
- establishment of new cement works in Poland, UK, Ethiopia and the Republic of Ireland;
- aggregate quarrying in the UK and Poland; and
- several large development projects in old quarry voids in the UK.
