Services to Architects

GWP supply a range of services to architects and landscape architects at design, planning and construction stages.  Technical input to projects may include; topographic surveying, 3D representation, visualisation and volumes of landscape design, water and waste water management, storm water and flood risk mitigation, renewable energy and waste management.  Technical services are provided to the highest standard from design phase, to planning application and environmental permitting support, from specification and tender document drafting to construction supervision and certification. Our team are also able to provide expert witness services.

Selected projects include:

  • small scale flood alleviation;
  • geothermal spring supply to Buxton Spa;
  • development of water master plan for a commercial development;
  • rehabilitation of a private water supply borehole;
  • construction Quality Assurance for a dam to form a recreation lake;
  • topographic survey for a private horse racing development.


    GWP Consultants offers topographical, geological,
    geotechnical, hydrogeological, hydrological,
    geomorphological and contaminated land assessments
    to inform development design ranging from individual
    private properties, to country estates, to industrial and
    town scale master planning.

    We are a strong proponent of early liaison with the
    regulators and provide expert technical advice and
    practical solutions relating to the securing of planning
    permissions and environmental permits.

    Through our knowledge of current and proposed UK legislation, together with the latest technological developments, we can offer the most up-to-date advice on sustainable solutions in our areas of expertise including:

    • integrated water management strategies that ensure Water Neutrality;
    • design of Ground Source Heat Pump systems and Micro-Hydropower schemes to reduce carbon emissions; and
    • minimising flood risk.
